Smile Shrubs for a dry area

I own a house with a very wide overhang so the areas around the foundation are very dry. I need advice as to shrubs or groundcover I might use. It gets a lot of afternoon sun but very little water unless I do it.

    Hi there,

You might consider succulents, or other drought-tolerant plants. Take a look at these:

As mod suggests, drought tolerant plants. There are various types of sage, smaller spaces or more color can be had with moss rose which will bloom wildly after each watering and tolerates dry times well. See a nursery for suggestions for your area. Keep in mind that cactus can become a problem in many areas.
