    Default clammy damp interior

    in Virginia and since running heat, interior of house is steamy,damp and heavy condensation on doors and windows. I keep thermostat at 70. help

    This is pretty normal when the outside temps are far lower than the inside temps. That's what causes the condensation on the glass. To have this not happen you need to;

    A- Get all new windows
    B- Insulate the current windows
    C- Add storm windows
    D- make the inside temp the same as the outside
    E- Reduce the interior humidity by using a dehumidifier and / or the bathroom vent fan
    F- switch to a dryer heating system that doesn't add moisture to the air.
