    Default Advice for pad removal

60 year old home, we found wall to wall carpeting with orange rubber padding on top of oak flooring. 95% of this padding has adhered to the oak floor, any adive on how to remove the pad from the floor without damaging the planks?

Since you're going to be re-finishing the wood anyway, sc**** it off with a carpet scra per.

HR is right...there is no magic here, but a lot of hard work.
Use a floor scra pper for best results. If you work slowly you might be able to minimize the damage to the oak floor, which will need sanding anyhow.
