Red face Removing a kitchen facet

It is sometime very hard to reach up under the back of the sink and loosen the nuts that hold the facets on. I purchased (at Harbor Freight) a long needle nose pliers that is angled (90 degrees) at the end. They grip the nuts and make it very simple to remove. Also works on the supply lines and sprayer.

Plumbers have been using a basin wrench for years.

This works twice as good as the clumsy basin wrench

I can't see any type of needle nose pliers working on basin nut's no matter how long they are.

On Monday I had to remove an old bathroom lavatory sink faucet.

Nothing worked. The working space under the pedestal sink was tight. NOTHING WORKED. So, as I've done many times in the past, I used the sawzall to cut the faucet off the sink, without damaging the sink. Bingo, the faucet was in the trash can in 2 minutes.

Warning: don't do that unless you know how.
