    Default steam radiator cold

on my upstairs radiator ( a one-pipe steam system), the riser pipe leading to this radiaor will get hot to the touch, as well as the floor valve that then connects to the problem radiator.
The radiator remains cold. Does the valve need to be replaced?
    Could it be clogged?

Sounds like a valve problem or a bad steam vent.

Remove the steam vent valve on the radiator. If the unit starts getting hot, then replace that piece. BE CAREFUL though. That steam can cause a nasty BURN.

If it does not get hot, check and make sure the inlet valve is open.
