Default Refinishing lead painted wood floors

The house I recently purchased was built in 1880 and after removing the carpet we discovered the original floors. The floors are painted green. I suspect that the paint maybe lead. I did a lead test and it came back inconclusive. I would like to restore the floors, but several floor sanders said they are unwilling to refinishing the floors because of the potential lead paint. Any thoughts?

Your are most likely correct that the floor contains lead. also you will not find anyone to sand the floor for you. Two things, one you can remove it all or sand it yourself in risk of your health or two try a stripping compound that also has some risk involved. Hope this helps.
