    Default garbage disposal

    I have a kenmore 6035 1/2 horsepower garbage disposal that has a broken screw on the flange and is separated at that point..Can I easy out the broken screw and replace it? some water leakage when I turn it on...

    If your disposer is over 5 years old and leaking, it's not worth fixing. Replace it.

    any broken screw can be removed, sometimes with an easyout and sometimes by drilling and retapping and in worse cases, drilling a larger hole, tapping and installing a helicoil or using a larger screw. The question is, is it worth it. A 1/2 HP disposal is a light duty disposal. You may want to consider an upgrade.
