    Default insulation near bathroom fan

I am installing am exhaust fan in the wall of my bathroom. Is there a certain amount of installation I should cut back for when I am installing it? Should the exhaust hose not touch any insullation? Any help would be appreciated.

Cut back just enough to fit the fan box in, without compressing the insulation. Don't worry about insulation touching the box here and there.
