    Default Problem solved!

    I decided to take my mower to my favorite lawnmower service shop and learned the reason the filter cover no longer screwed into the carburetor was that a bunch of dirt snuck into the carburetor and caked the threads, meaning I was trying to tighten the bolt into dirt!

    It's all cleaned up and working perfectly now!

    Glad you got it figured out and working again.
    I suffer from CDO ... Its like OCD, but in alphabetical order, LIKE IT SHOULD BE!!!
