    Smile How to cover the expansion gap againt tile wall step

    I plan to install hardwood floor but having problem in solving how to cover the expansion gap against the tiled wall and the brick fireplace? Has any ideas how to finish this expansion gap is help. There is no baseboard on the tiled wall and the fireplace brick.

    a couple suggestions...but keep in mind i have never been on anyone's decorating committee....

    grout colored caulk on the tiled wall and mortar colored caulk against the brick

    or quarter round stained to match the flooring

    latex based grouts that match all grout colors are available at big bozx stores and local tile stores. they come in a caulking tube and get applied just as cauling would. there.... problem solved

    color rite inc makes grout matching caulk in 140 different colors. Mail order from on line. Mighty fine folks there.
