Coolant Line problems
My Brother-in-law updated his house to a larger system and was kind enough to give me his old system for my place in the country.
I'm usually pretty good at DIY, but have hit a snag.
Problem is, the coolant line was chopped off the the evaporator coil w/o any tubing to play with (condensing coil has plenty tubing still attached)and now I need to (for lack of a better phrase) de-solder the joint. I've tried MAPP and had no luck. If I have to cut as close to the joint as possible and clean it up, I'll have about 3/4" to play with. Will that be enough? Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.
Thanks go out to This Old House for this board.
And thanks to all.
