    Default hydrangea

    i have a big beautiful hydrangea. is there a way to take a cutting, put in water to take roots & replant, or what is your suggestion?

    Hydrangea roots easily with the following method;

    At one of the nodes on a branch, wrap a wet wad of peat moss. Cover this tennis ball sized wad of peat moss with saran wrap, tightening it at the ends. In a few weeks you'll start to see roots through the plastic. Cut the stem below the new root ball then plant.

    I held a low branch to the ground with a rock & roots grew. The next year I cut the stem & let the roots grow more. This spring I dug it & repotted it & eventually put it in the ground. Similar to what houstonremodeler did, but slower
