    Default stuck door knob

I have gathered up a few old doors and one has a very lovely glass door knob. I have taken out the screws in the knob but I cannot get it apart. I have tried everything down to a prybar and a flat head screwdriver and all I got was a broken screwdriver and a bent door plate. Its a mortised lock and it works just fine mechanically. Any ideas short of cutting the door up?

Once you've removed the set screw, just twist the knob counterclockwise. Usually these are on a threaded square shaft.
