Default How To Refinish A Small Section Of Hardwood Floor

I have a 3/4" oak hardwood floor with a rug covering most of it. The floor is in excellent shape less an area about 2 square where there is a transition from one room to another and no rug. Here the finish has worn away completely.

Without redoing the whole 12x 14 floor (just not needed), how can I repair/refinish this area?

    Thanks!

It would take a ton of hand work to sand it down, stain, then poly the area. The skill is getting it all to match. I don't know of any Pro who would tackle a patch like this and be able to give a guarantee of color match.

I've done spot hardwood replacements, something like what you are facing. But to tell you exactly what you are facing, I need to see what you have. Send photos.

To post photos you will need 10 postings or more...good luck.
