    Default Brock Paver Base

Anyone ever use Brock 36"L x 24"W Interlocking Paver Base Panel? (or Paverbase)

It's supposed to be able to take the place of 4-5" of crushed stone when building a new patio. I have about 250sft and it would save me a ton of earth removal! It's about $13 through Lowes but it would save a ton of work. I'd be interested in how it worked for you.

    Thanks for your feedback!

In the days when I installed pavers on my remodeling jobs, we used to have a base of 2" gravel and 2" sand. This base was good enough to have vehicular traffic. The only fault with this base was an underground flood and erosion.

With the brock base, you can't have car traffic, but it's fine for walkways and patios, with some weight restrictions. Check carefully before you invest money.

Thanks! Do you think it will drain the water and hold up?

    That depends on your soil.
Just make sure your pad had a tiny slope to allow for drainage and there are no water/sewer pipes under it.
