Is there a way to tell if your well pump is going bad. Lately the pump is very loud, can plainly hear it from basement to 3rd floor bedrooms. Reason I'm asking is because I have a geo-thermal system, and this requires water to operate the air conditioning. I would rather replace now, if necessary, than to wait and have an emergency call. Thanks
Re: Well Pump
How old is your pump? If it's old, starting to make noises, malfunctions a little, thare's a good chance it's starting to go bad. Just like any other piece of machinery, sometimes you feel that it's time to replace it and you may be right, so you will avoid problems later.
When you're not under pressure, you can usually do any job for less.
