    Default hot water odor

I have a problem with sulphur smell from hot water heater(odor in hot water only). plan to change anode but have seen advice to use chlorine to disinfect heater as well. is this a good idea or will it cause more problems? what is best way to do this if its ok?i am on a well and water has been tested for sulphur levels(levels are low) so i assume odor is from bacteria build up.

Yes, change the anode, but you have to treat the well, as well, so this won't happen again so quickly.

Do a web search on using ordinary household bleach to rid the tank of the sulphur odor. It works well. Also change the anode.
