Question Our house does not have ground wire

Whole house does not have ground wire...just two wires ...looks like romex wires with pvc covering but only two wires in it..

The service panel is metal and latest and copper wire(ground) connect to a rod which does in ground but inside the house from panel to outlets or baseboard heaters only two wires ..and not three.

Default Re: Our house does not have ground wire

Not unusual for older homes. The bonding conductor provides very little in personal protection. One solution is to install GFCI receptacles and mark as ungrounded, a second solution is to run a ground wire from the panel to the receptacles, a third is to rewire. Updating to GFCI receptacles provides the greatest personal protection.
