Replacement parts/cartridges usually come with instructions. Take note of the brand and model of faucet with you to the hardware store to match up replacement parts.
Turn off water under the sink and release the pressure through the faucet.
Disassemble handle, replace cartridge, assemble handle, turn on water, test your work.
No leaky - time for a beer.
Leaky leaky - time to retrace your steps.
