    Default Range Vent Hood

I am looking for directions on how to make a cover for a range vent hood - the vent itself is an insert.

If you mean a cover for the vent extending out the roof, the answer is to get a ready made cover available at your nearest HD.

Actually I'm looking to make the decorative covering for the blower/duct, etc. - the part that shows above the stove. Some vents come that way but others come with just the "works," leaving the home owner the option of coverings.

If you go here and scroll down to page 22, you will see a section on wood vent hood enclosures, with some dimensions.
