    Default Hole In Oak Tree-DallasTX

We have an oak tree in our yard that is about 41 years old. The tree is very healthy but we have noticed a hole in the trunk near where the tree forks out with large branches. It doesnt appear to have bug activity or to be rotted. However, we arent experts. From web searches I've noticed that foam fillings accomplish nothing but fungal growth. It is approximately the size of a baseball. Any advice?
