    Default Water Hammer?

I live in a six year old home and have been in the house going on three years. Last week I began to hear a sound that sounds like a steamship horn after the master bathroom toilet has been flushed and the tank has refilled with water. The low subdued sound begins about 10 seconds after the tank stops filling and lasts for about 10 seconds.

This only occurs after a flush of the toilet. It does not occur when the shower or sinks are used in the same bathroom. The home is a single story ranch on a poured slab.

Is this a form of water hammer?? Any thoughts?

Replace the fill valve in the toilet. Fluid-master is the best choice. These have become the most used. Many toilet manufactures are using them in there line of toilets.
