    Default Tub Caulking

Between my tub and tub insert there is a gap that goes from 1/4 inch to an inch or more. Yes that big of a gap. I have recaulked the tub many times but the caulk seems to just melt away. I do fill the whole space with caulk but it never seems to set up correctly. Should I just to little beads at a time or is there something else I can do to fix this. Yes I know I need a new tub but with my money situation it will be a few years before that happens.

Tub caulking was never ment to fill in 1" gaps. You will need to fabricate a plastic strip to fill in the gap and then seal it with DAP QUICK SEAL. To do that, you will have to use some creativity and resourcefulness, which is not sold in stores.
