Default Fiberglass Surround-Cast Iron Tub Caulk

I have a Kohler cast iron tub and a Mustee 350 Fiberglass surround, I clean it, and fill with water before I caulk in between, but the caulk never lasts more than 2 months before it pulls away from the surround. Any suggestion on caulk, prep or technique before I do it again?

    Thank.....

Do you caulk when it's wet?

If yes, that could be the problem.

    What caulking do you use?

I sc**** it and wipe down with isopropyl alcohol first. I may use denatured next time (it has no water at all in it). The first time I used latex, and the other two latex plus silicone. I was thinking of GE 100% silicone this time.
    Thanks.

Try DAP KWIK SEAL kitchen and bath (with or without) silicone this time.
