Default New Bathtub Drain and Overflow

I have a very old bathtub with a basic overflow and drain that I would like to replace. Are all tub drains and overflow connections a standard size?

As far as I know, yes. I've never had a problem replacing an old drain/overflow set with a new one.

Unless you have some large sized jacuzzi or deep soaking tub, yes they are pretty universal and have some measure of adjustment to them.

If you are replacing the overflow and drain, I'd suggest a cable operated drain. The good ones run about $90. Don't buy the $56 one at Home Burrito
