    Smile Bathroom sink drains slow

When shaving, I fill up the bathroom sink with water. When I am done, I release the stopper but the water drains out real slow. If I pull the drain stopper out of the drain, an air bubble comes out and the water drains fast and normal. What causes this and how do I get rid of the air bubble that is inhibiting a faster drain?
    Thank you

If this happens periodically with a gradual slowing of the drain, it's hair and gunk build up on the stopper and actuator lever. If this is an all the time type of thing, the stopper may be too low in the drain neck to allow sufficient flow.
