Default Replacing pane in double-pane French door

It's about 30" by 60 (roughly measured), so about as big as I am.

There are 2 panes, Silvertemp Safety Tempered, 1/8 U, 16 CFR, a few other numbers I can supply if really needed.

An outer pane shattered this summer and if the second one goes I'm in real trouble. Is this something best left to the pros?

Not sure where you live but if it's in a colder climate, I'd say get the pros out to your home because for the safety of you, your home, and high electricity/gas bills, a well-secured window installation is definitely worth it.

I agree. Removing old glass can be hazardous. Installing a new glass has to be done professionally.
If you do it wrong and have to re-do it again, where is the saving?
