Default green spots on copper gas line

I have a couple of green spots on a copper gas line in my basement. I am not sure what it is or what to do about it. Could you give me some advice, please?

    I wouldn't worry about it.

Are you sure it's a gas line and not a water supply line?

Check the writing on the copper pipe: see if it says "Type M", "Type L" or "Type K".
