Default Venting the Dryer into Furnace Vent

Can I vent the dryer into the same vent as the furnace vent? The furnace vent is just on the other side of the wall from the dryer which does not have a good place to vent to.

Howdy i would not do this because of potentil back drafting of carbon monoxide into the dryer.... the dryer does not have any check valvue to stop the exhaust gases from flowing into it and into the home.

No. Lint and condensation are a major factor. Out the sill or side,no screws and no flexible plastic or aluminum foily stuff. Rigid or semi-rigid. Dryer fires are more common than you think, as are fan fires on bathroom fans, individually switched without a light, that are left on by accident.

If you mean into the same vent pipe as the flue- absolutely not.
