    Installed water hammer arrestors on the hot and cold inputs to the washing machine. The vibration has stopped ...... for the moment at least. 'dcalabro', responder No.1 called it right! Thanks and thanks to all.Best wishes for Thanksgiving.

    The vibration reappeared.
    John ... you were correct. Replacing the PRV corrected the problem. Thanks.

    Happy to here your problem is solved. Just for a point of information I have seen water meters cause the same vibrating sound that you described.
