    Default wallpaper adhesive

    we have removed wallpaper from the wallboard. Is there a simple way to remove any wallpaper adhesive from the wallboard.

    Simply rinsing down the wall - carefully - with water.
    I suffer from CDO ... Its like OCD, but in alphabetical order, LIKE IT SHOULD BE!!!

    Warm water works the best.

    I find that if you use a good spray bottle and a large sponge - the job is more efficient. Keep running your finger across the surface to see if all the glue is removed. If it feels slimy then it means there is still some glue present.

    Note: If there is any glue left and paint is applied over the top...then you run the risk of it cracking away from the wall.

    I like to use the pressurized spray bottles which are used for garden spraying. They hold about 2 quarts of water and because of the pressureized bottle, you won't have your finger fall off from constance squeezing. They are about $7 at Home Depot.
