Porch steps on the sloped side of porch
I'm replacing the steps on my front porch, but unlike most steps these steps arise from the side of the porch and not the front. Because of this, there is a 1/4" in 12" slope on the porch floor from the house side to the outside for drainage. I would like the steps to be level, but this means the riser on the house end will be two inches higher than the outside end (8' width). Am I correct in assuming that the stairs should be level and not sloped as the porch is?
