Default Fir Tongue and Groove - Need Sealed / Stained?

I'm replacing my front porch T&G flooring with new fir wood. Does the new T&G need stained / sealed prior to install? If so, where (all four sides, top only, top and bottom)?

I've gotten mixed answers and not sure what to do.

    Many Thanks.

Actually all 6 sides should be sealed, of course you'll have to reseal the outside ends when you cut them off. The sealing helps limit cupps.
