Default Cut and extend outside bell wire

I have an outside door bell and intercom that uses four wires that are carried together in the cable. I have to move the intercom and bell and so need to cut the wire and extend it. I do not want to use the regular twist wire connector and would like something waterproof and with a tighter more rigid connection. The wire is very thin so the type that pierce the wire may not work.
    What could I use?

Use a telephone wire splice. You can get them at either Home Depot or Lowes. It is a round disc, about the size of a hearing aid battery. You insert each end of the wire into a hole in the disk, then pinch it closed with a pair of pliers. It is waterproof when done. I tape the wires going into the disc together after splicing for some strain relief but that is not necessary. The splices also come in a variety pack of single splices and three way splices, about $4 for a pack of 25 or so.
