    Default Loose Pegboard Hangers

Problem: Loose pegboard hangers that constantly come off when you remove an item.

Solution: Use 1/4" O.D. x 0.040" wall polypropylene tubing (available at most hardware stores or home improvement centers) to increase pegboard hanger tang diameter from 0.18" to 0.26".

Just push tubing onto hanger tang - this is a snug fit. Then cut off tubing at end of tang with a razor blade or utility knife. The hanger will now fit snugly into a standard 0.25" pegboard hole.

This is a simpler, cheaper, and more elegant solution than using plastic "Peg Lock" clips - and doesn't require adjacent pegboard holes.

This is a wonderful idea. I used some tubing left over from a refrigerator water connection to stabilize a few hooks and was delighted. I found that I could fix every type of hanger I had to prevent it from falling off! Thanks!
