Default cost of installing a new circuit

I am looking to move our chest freezer down to our basement. There are only two outlets in the basement, and they are being used. I would also like to have a couplw of new outlets installed and I am thinking that a new circuit may need to be run to add more outlets. Perhaps I am wrong, but if I am right, could someone give me a very rough estimate of what the cost would be of having an electrician come in and do this? Thanks!

Cbernard, if the main panel is located within 20 feet of where you would like the two additional duplex receptacles you're looking at a GFCI receptacle feeding the second standard receptacle.
    Material cost would be:
    Permit about $60
    Wire and boxes about $10
GFCI receptacle and cover about $20
Standard receptacle and cover about $3
20A single pole circuit breaker about $8
3 hours labor & travel, anywhere from $60 to $90/hr
This assumes romex may be run on the surface.

    Good Luck from Columbiana, Alabama
