    Question Loose refigerator handle

I have a Maytag side by side (model msd2351heb). The right side handle is very loose. From what I have read there is a handle release card that is used to remove it. I don't think I can use it because it is so loose. Thought about using needle nose to back out the screw but I wasn't sure if I could do this. Seems like the bottom half (the half that is loose)is 2 piece locking system..(I am guessing at this). Any suggestions..?

Not sure from the instructions what the purpose of the door removal card is but it does say you can use a 1/32" plastic card. It looks like it unlocks when you slide the handle down.

    Exclamation Re: Loose refigerator handle

If your Maytag Side by Side Model MSXXXXX... refrigerator's serial number ends with AA, AC, AE, AG, AJ, AL, AN, AP, AR, AT, AV, AX, CA, CC, CE, CG, CJ, CL, ZB, ZD, ZF, ZH, ZK, ZM, ZQ, ZS, ZU, ZW, ZY, ZZ
It has been recalled due to a serious electrical hazard last March, http://www.cpsc.gov/cpscpub/prerel/prhtml09/09145.html

the recall was expanded in August to include Serial Numbers ending in CN, CP, YY and YZ. http://www.cpsc.gov/cpscpub/prerel/prhtml09/09322.html

Make sure the technician who performs the recall repair also verifies you did not dislodge the case & door's bonding/grounding.
