    Default 1937 Tudor?

My husband and I recently bought our first home. It was built in 1937 in South Dallas, and has been called a “Tudor” by some. Is this what I should call it?

Thanks in advance! We are in the process of looking for a new front door (the original is wooden and rotting), and don't know if we should search for "craftsmen," "cottage," or just maybe "traditional."

No style in sufficient quantity present to nail a label to; but it falls within the English Cottage/cape cod/colonial modes of the late 20's til after WWII. A pleasant mashup. I looked at any number of your pics, and it's a seriously nice home.

Thanks Casey! Those pictures are of the way it was furnished by the previous owners. We're not quite there yet, but are enjoying working on it slowly. We've refinished the floors to a more traditional color and are loving it.

What sort of door would be best for this style?
