    Default Basement Insulation

I have a 10yr old double wide. The basement is unfinished with dirt floor. My question is how, and what type insulation to use. The floor joist are steel beams and i'm not sure how to attach the insulation. I live in PA, and it gets quite cold.

    Thank You....

Howdy, How far apart are the beams?
If 16' then bat fiberglass insullation works well. You can make hangers out of stiff wire installed between the beams to keep the insullation from falling down. Or you could have the floor sprayed with foam insullation but this is pricy...

Howdy, the insulation goes on sale at the big box stores- lowes home depoe, menards so contact them and see when if will be on sale or if any rebates from manufactures currently...
Also i used the pink survey string( its available at the above stores) and stapled it on every joist about 3 feet apart clear across the crawlspace and this has held up the insulation very well for years- instead of using metal wire to hold it up.
