hello, one question before I go any further mounting then fan. I now have constant power at the outlet which is good. If I understand you I am leaving the wiring at the switch the I had originally described to you in my intial post.

    white-white

incoming black pigtailed to the bottom **** connections on each switch

outgoing black to top **** connection of switch closest to door

red to top **** connection on switch away from door

ongoing ground to ground on switch farthest from door
    no incoming ground from walloutlet

    Good stuff !

Yes -- wire up the way you initially posted.

One thing though --- initally you indicated there are two switches -- one originally that controlled the receptacle --- another you added for the fan light ?

You will use one switch to control the light -- no problem.

However, the other switch really isn't needed since the fan is to be turned on/off by the pull chain. This would normally require you wire the fan hot to constant supply current --- which would be the black at the switch that you recently reconfigured.
