    You also want to use your nose when choosing melons. Get it right in there and sniff! If they have a strong melon aroma, they're more likely to be ripe AND good flavored melons.

    I don't know, you're the one that brought them up. Something about thumping your melon against the wall, or something like that? Not sure, you're pretty strange sometimes.

    I have plaster board walls (1964).

    I just ordered a CH Hanson 03040 Magnetic stud finder which Amazon reviewers say will mostly find a nail & lock on it. It looks like a $1 rare earth magnet in a plastic case.

    Has anyone used a Franklin Sensors ProSensor 710 Precision Stud Finder which 90% of Amazon.com buyers like -- many say it works well on drywall; no so well on lath & plaster.
