Default Install a light in the closet

I had them put a separate circuit for a base-board up in the attic. I would like to use that to run a line to install a light in the closet. How do I go about the wiring.....to a switch box, to the florescent fixture. HELP!!

Electric baseboard heat is usually 220v. So chances are the electrician only ran a 12/2 romex for you. If you are not using it for heat there is no problem. But make sure it is landed properly in the panel, ie. the black on the load side of the breaker and the white on the neutral bar, and bare to the ground bar. If the wire is already being used for a 220v. base board there is no way to tap into it for lighting. Additionally you should know about the requirement of arc fault breakers, which would cover your closet lighting. Most jurisdictions have adopted this into code.
