I have basically removed all of the electrical wire in the house and am starting with a clean slate, Any Suggestions? Solar? etc.

Ed, if you're going to replace the meter circuits that may be out of the relm of a homeowner in your jurisdiction. As was suggested, get an electrician involved. He/she may let you work alongside to reduce costs and it could be a great learning experience, on your part.

I usually let the owner do as much as they want to and sometimes just check in from day to day. They often do excellent work and are certainly dedicated and motivated. We/they also become best friends, long lasting customers and my best salespersons.

    Good Luck from Wilsonville, Alabama

Check code for the temp service requirements and what meter/ panel size for starters. Solar is great but be prepared for the $$$$. Good time to consider HVAC upgrades before the rewire too....
Any an all of my comments are just my opinion and not to be confused with facts.
