Stupid me decided to put in a garden. chose a spot right up near the house and happily removed all the grass, mixed in some top soil and planted the seeds. Yesterday noticed my down stairs (sits below ground level) had water in a spot it usually doesnt have water. after the pity party i gave myself for having EVERYTHING go wrong with this house a little voice reminded me that the problem did not exist before the garden...Duh. So I am planning on putting sod in the area and turning it back to lawn. What my biggest issue is right now the room on the inside of the wall is carpeted and had paneling over the block foundation. Will the sod take care of the problem fast enough that i dont have to pull everything apart for it to dry?
