    Default cutting plaster

I am wanting to take out a section of wall between my kitchen and dinning room to open the kitchen up. However, the wall is an old plaster and lath wall. I was wondering if their is any good way of cutting plaster with out destroying the other section of wall that i want to keep???????????

    Crane,

Assuming you have wood lath, and not metal lath and plaster, I wood either buy a masonry blade for your circular saw or sacrifice an old carbide blade saw. There are also blades sold for the cutting of Hardie plank ( cement board siding) which should do well on plaster. Prepare for the dust to fly!
