    Angry can't turn off

Main breaker box in the basement , turn off breakers in it and lights stayu off. This is the only breaker box in the house except screw in fuses in attic. These fuses are in the attic but if you throw the main switch on this box they won't go out either. House is 111 years old Any ideas

Some people (not you) have been known to make secret connections to the service drop before the meter.

You may want to call an electrician and see if he can help you, which may involve the utility company.

If you do have a "bootleg" tap, it's probably very dangerous and a felony.
