    Default Deer Fencing

A while back there was a show on deer fencing around arborvitae. We have a similar problem with deer eating our arborvitae in the winter. An added difficulty is that in Syracuse we can have as much as 3 feet of snow on the ground, elevating the deer.

What was the deer fencing product used in the show?

Deer fencing can be very expensive to install because of the height needed. Deer can jump over six feet so with snow fall you would need a nine foot fence or more - very expensive. I got an entire seminar on this when I was a member of the OFGS and the IDFTA. There are commercial spray alternatives or a homemade one is to spray a solution of hot pepper sauce and water on the shrubs on a periodic basis.

30 odd 6 with a scope would solve this
