This is the #1 easiest way to get a clean, sharp cut in line. The caulk fills in the "valleys" of the texture and gives you a smooth surface for a good line. It also makes the brush edge glide better, depositing paint where you want it rather than where you don't.

It doesn't take much caulk to accomplish this task, so make sure you cut the smallest hole possible in the tip of the tube and apply an even bead along the length of the corner joint. When you lay it off, use a wet finger, using short strokes to press the caulk into the corner and remove the excess, wipe your finger after each stroke. Follow with a single stroke in the opposite direction for a completely smooth joint.
