    Default Bathroom Remodel

I am remodeling our bathroom and have come to hopefully a pretty common question. I am raising the floor with a hardy board and small square tiles about three quarters of an inch above the toilet flange. What can I do to take up that space to ensure the toilet does not leak and can be properly seated to the flange?

Toilet flanges can be raised up with extender rings, but the best way is to cut the pipe and extend the flange. The flange should set above the finished floor surface.

After replacing the flange be sure to screw it down to the floor.
