    Default window well

O.K. I have a basement that was original to the house but the previous owners did an addition with a crawl space, this is what I'm doing.
There is a window in the crawl that has the grade height at the middle, there never was a window well put in so that's what I'm doing. I've dug down to the footing and was wondering if I should put a couple inches of 3/4 stone on the bottom or is it alright to set the window well on the footing and fill it with the stone? From the footing to the grade is about 20-22 inches, I bought two 12" plastic window wells that go together so it will put be 2 to 4 inches above grade.

    Thanks in Advance

Did a little research and got my answer, looks like I'm gonna have to jack up that end or the house to get my 6" above grade, not good since I have a fireplace at that end.
